Alhaji Camara is a photographer from Milwaukee, WI (US). His minimalist photographic style grew out of using photography as a meditative and mindful practice of relating to environments around him, particularly aware of how objects take up space in those environments. His photography stands as a critical example of agency and responsibility in adopting a perspective on a subject.
Alhaji is a Mental Health Practitioner at a hospital in Milwaukee, where he teaches emotional intelligence and social skills to early adolescents in treatment for mood and behavioral disorders.Photography continues to be a form of self-care for Alhaji through reflection and expression.
