TITLE: San People
The San People are famous for their deep connection with nature and vast knowledge of the hidden resources required to survive in the African wilderness.
But as the oldest inhabitants of Southern Africa they also have rich cultural traditions. As one of the last nomadic tribes on earth they maintain small intimate groups. This allows them to stay mobile and govern through consensus rather than hierarchy.
I had a chance to get close to one such group in northern Namibia during a large scale expedition through the Kavango-Zambezi Conservation Area, to promote the facilitation of cross-border flow of wildlife as well as nomadic tribes.
The series shows the natural intimacy and interpersonal closeness with which the San People sit, cook, hunt, govern and live.
