AUTHOR: José NICOLAS (France)
Born April 4, 1956 in Casablanca, Morocco.
Since 1984, I have been a photographer reporter. I started by working for a regional daily and then for humanitarian organizations such as Doctors of the World who allowed me to follow Bernard Kouchner in his missions in Kurdistan, Afghanistan, the China Sea, Lebanon etc. For 15 years, I covered all conflicts for the Sipa-Press agency in Paris (Chad, the war of Liberia in 1990, the war of Lebanon from 1984 to 1986, Afghanistan, the Romanian revolution in 1989, Bosnia from 1991 to 1996, Somalia in 92-93, etc.
Since 1996, I have become independent and collaborate regularly with French and foreign magazines. I am also the author of several books on multiple subjects that are close to my heart.
