TITLE: LA CORREDERA
During the morning of Easter Monday, in Arroyo de la Luz village, around the Church of San Sebastián, the horses trot and scamper among decked floats that talk about a party. Numerous riders and amazons come every year to the traditional custom of riding through the streets of Arroyo de la Luz_Cáceres_Spain. On a dirt and sand track that links the Church of San Sebastián with the Church of the Assumption, skilful riders or one alone at the croup of horses, launch themselves in rapid and surprising races among the waiting crowd their passage through the streets of the village. For promises, for human thanks or for sincere demonstrations of courage, gentlemen or Amazons, young or old, friends or parents with children run down the street without fear. The bravest ones loosen the bridles and, throwing their arms over each other, shoulder to shoulder, they navigate the streets and neighborhood among the enthusiasm of those attending a festive day in which the main protagonists are the horse and courage.
