TITLE: Donkey Hoof Cleaning
When my friend and co-worker, Marcos Couto, commented at a meeting that he was going to fix the hooves for the donkeys, my first thought was - “It would be spectacular to photograph this moment”. I asked him if it was possible to go and photograph and he accepted !! It was really a magnificent evening. I had the privilege of watching and photographing all the procedures - catching each donkey; wrap the ropes in your body so that they would be safe and then Mr. Álvaro Gomes put all his art into practice. The son, always with a cigarette in his mouth, helped to hold it. My friend Marcos was always attentive and did not let go of the ropes. It was brutal! It was delicious.
For this record I used the Fuji X-T2 machines with the 23mm-1.4 lens and the Nikon D700 with the 70-200mm-2.8 lens.
