TITLE: Life in slums
I 'm in a district in the city of Jinja, Uganda. I live in an orphanage house with 45 children, trying to help them with school expenses and food. Many of them come from the "karamojong" community, from Northern Uganda they try to come to the South thinking of finding a better life, but they are wrong. Once in Jinja their lifestyle turns into a slum.
Inside the slums there is nothing, a place forgotten by God. There are no health facilities, there are no public toilets or hydraulic pipes and there are no school facilities. Almost more than half of the children are orphaned and affected by HIV,Malaria and Cholera. My camera led me to photograph, above all, the faces of those children forgotten by the world, but who continue to have a great life force.
