Laamb" in Wolof, is a centuries-old sport in Senegal.
The Laamb used to be practiced in the field, at the end of the harvest, between ethnic groups. This battle used to be a means of measuring the strength of men, to determine the champion of each village.
Laamb is both a spiritual and a physical activity. During the ceremony, the fighter, accompanied by percussionists and singers, dances around the arena. On your around there are various types of esoteric pendants or amulets whose purpose is to protect you against the spirits and witchcraft of other fighters.
