TITLE: Roma in Svinia
Svinia was founded in the late 19 century, its population has grown over the decades to become one one of the largest and most problematic settlements of rural Roma in the entire district.
Despite its central European location it resembles a third-world slum marked by unemployment international exploitation violence substance abuse and resignation.
Stuck into a village inhabited by ethnic Slovaks whoʼs views of the Roma are openly racist and segregated from the surrounding society.
The living conditions are unbelievable itʼs hard to believe and embarrassing thatt in such a rich place like the EU this is still possible.
They almost seem like forgotten.
