TITLE: The King of the River
Hippopotamus in the morning light of the Victoria Nile in Uganda. The approach by boat surprised the animal which suddenly straightened up revealing all its dangerous power to us and showing us that it was the master of the place. The hippopotamus is now widely hunted for its canine ivory and is on the IUCN Red List.

Our photographic sensitivity comes from the Black & White film development laboratory. Our passion for nature and wild animals holds a preponderant place in our production. Animal photography allows us to express the intensity of the emotions that we can feel in contact with nature. We like to transmit through our images the fascinating, fragile and ferocious, powerful and mystical world, sublime in our eyes, of wild life. For several years we have been campaigning for the conservation of species and the safeguarding of biodiversity.
We have seen an alarming deterioration in the population of African mammals. For some species, a point of no return will soon be reached. We are aware of the urgency of saving what remains of biodiversity in this world that has gone mad. It seems urgent to us to approach this subject and to bring to the public's attention the silent catastrophe that is taking place. We believe it is still possible to stop this dramatic process.
We are committed, through our images and our texts, to raise public awareness of the fragility of ecosystems and the imminent disappearance of many species.
