TITLE: Safe House
Observing chimpanzees in captivity. Wildlife parks and animal sanctuaries provide pseudo-real environments for endangered or abused animals. In their natural habitat they are exposed to many dangers, mainly from human intervention in the form of deforestation and poaching. The apes I have observed seem oblivious to their confinement and actually thrive as a result of it.
AUTHOR: Paul Anthony Wilson (United Kingdom)
Born in the north east in 1956... still based in the north east. I wanted to take reasonable snaps of memorable moments. When I bought my first camera — back in the mid eighties — it was never my intention to become a professional photographer. A local photo agency gave me my first job...with one proviso. If I did the job well there would be more work — if I didn’t...there wouldn’t. Studio and Press work have been my main source of income ever since. Landscapes are a labour of love.
