TITLE: "Tricks of the light"
There is nothing more essential in photography than capturing light reflections. This series of picture is part of a study observing the reflection patterns created by tiny ray of light hitting from different angles a piece of glass. The glass acts as an imperfect lens positioned in front of the sensor of a mirrorless camera. Capturing these images in complete darkness, in the silence of the night has been a magical journey of discoveries were light takes you by hand on a path full of unimaginable and beautiful geometries.
AUTHOR: Angelo Dragone (United States)
I was born and grew up in Italy. After finishing my studies in 2004 I moved to California. I have my studio in the small town of La Honda, sacred place of the beat generation and the hippie movement.
My pictures of landscapes, nature and people tell a story of a slow world, sometimes amplified by long exposures some other times not. Sometimes they tell a story of slowing disappearing places, traditions and ways. Some other time they tell the longing for a slow world through the eyes and the gestures of people. Some other times my pictures simply capture the rhythms of nature.
