TITLE: Pareidolia: Winter Abstractions
The winter abstract series is a compilations of images created through the digital manipulation of photographs of the winter landscape which explores the phenomena of pareidolia. They are part of a broader body of work that explores the patterns and designs created by random natural occurring forms repeating in prescribed process resulting in unique images that speak to each viewer in a different manner as the mind tries to make sense of the seemingly random information. This series focuses on the branching structure of a variety of trees in the winter landscape to see how the different branching structures of different species of trees effect the overall mood and fealing of the resulting abstracted images.
