TITLE: An India from the days of the Jungle Book
A holiday in the hills is always soothing for the soul. And when you have to walk to your heritage hotel through thick fog, as the local train service is stopped for the day, you know its a special feeling.
For me, the narrow gauge rail line coming in from the dark, the mist, and the soft lighting coming from one of the streetlamps add to the retro feel of this photo which cannot but feel magical when viewed in black and white.

A photograph is a memory frozen for eternity. It transports the viewer to places he may never visit, to see things he may otherwise never see. It opens up the mind of the viewer to larger possibilities beyond just the bubble he lives in.
While my day job is very analytical in nature (I live in the world of numbers), photography is a passion which allows me to bring out my creative side and see the world in a very different light, far from the data points in which we are increasingly being defined.
