TITLE: Checking on me
At Aliwal shoal, South Africa, shark diving is a major business for tourism. Here you can encounter diverse types of sharks and one of the most famous is this oceanic black tip sharks. Relatively difficult to be seen in other dive sites but here you can encounter numerous sharks of this specie and they got as much curiosity as divers are. These sharks will circle around and approach to you without hesitation and it is such an amazing experience to interact with this fierce predators.

I am an underwater and travel photographer YH 'Brian' Choi based in South Korea.
I am a business school and political science graduate from the US and UK who is a scubadiving instructor :) I have traveled various remote areas of the world to discover the underwater wonders.
My recent works are mostly under the theme of 'Another space that is closer to the land'. Like the space we know, I try to express the darkness and rawness of the different space that is closer to us. For many cases, these two words could be interpreted negatively but I find aesthetics from them like we cannot discover the beauty of a fire on the candle if there is no darkness behind. Likewise for me, the fire is the energy that I want to deliver to the auidence, the candle is targeted creatures, and the darkness is the ocean.
