TITLE: Downside Up
The tonal range on these trees during autumn drew my attention but when editing I liked the mood in the water that I found, in turning it upside down or downside up, that it became a stronger image, needing closer inspection. Looking at the lower half can give me the feeling of actually falling, an odd feeling from an image, but one that I like.
AUTHOR: John McCarthy (United Kingdom)
I have been a very keen amateur photographer for 40 years. I have been involved in taking images of many genres but particularly like taking images of the world around me, especially of the landscape. I love the tones and simplicity that black & white portrays and have found myself taking b&w images almost exclusively now.
