TITLE: DC-3

In November of 1973, a US Navy DC-3 crash landed on Sólheimasandur beach near Vik, Iceland. All crew members survived but the plane was never recovered. It has become a popular landmark for tourists seeking an eerie scene in the middle of Iceland's famous black sand beaches.
