AUTHOR: Ronald Munk (Brazil)
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1957. My mother was the first female photojournalist (1949) in Rio. (currently some of her work is shown at the MAR - Art Museum of Rio). Since my childhood I got involved with photography. As a teenager I frequently helped my mother in the lab and also taking pictures of social events.
For 35 years, as I made a career as a global executive, Photography was always part of my life, At University or at work, organizing and participating in photo contests or just clicking for myself and my family.
Recently I decided to dedicate my time and energy full time to photography, Besides taking pictures and developing them, I also have my own fine art print equipment.
Traveling around the globe, I capture images for projects such as "on the move", "at the museum", "light and shadow", "eyes", "plants", "architecture", "city lights" , "dark"etc... I also experiment with interventions in the way my photographs are presented, packaging them with different fabrics.
