TITLE: sprawling mind
In this picture i used a real octopus that i laid on the head of the model. The photo was taken recently in my studio, on the occasion of my project concerning the fish. In this specific case, my intent is to raise awareness about the risk of extinction of many species of fish.
AUTHOR: LUCA MAZZARA (Italy)
Luca Mazzara (1973) is a photographer, movie director, video artist and poet from Rome, Italy. His love for the silver screen developed at a young age and he has since adopted it as his instrument of artistic expression. After graduating from The Sapienza University of Rome with a degree in Performing Arts, he obtained an MA in Production and Film Distribution at Morris, Casini, and Partners as well as at Anica. Mazzara’s debut came in 2012 when his short film “Incanto Vivo” (Live Enchantment) was screened at the Rome Independent Film Festival. As an independent film director he has produced “Too Late” - which took home the “Short and Shot Prize” - as well as “Privacy” and “Wake up Alice!”.
As a photographer, in 2016 he made his solo exhibition in New York entitled Foot on Face at the gallery La Nacional in Manhattan.
