It is Taken at Azadi Square, Tehran, Iran.
Azadi Or Shahyad Square is a Symbol in Iran (Symbol of Freedom), It was Also the Gate of Tehran(where any cars from south of Tehran will see this monument). Azadi means Freedom in Persian, I tried to Take this photo the way it looks like a Bird that Opened its wings and wanna fly to Sky, It is a Gate To Freedom and Happier life.
I tried to make a Harmony between the monument and sky, tried to use lines and Different Point of view as well as B&W edit to concentrate on these main Elements and concept.
The Azadi Tower (LibertyTower), formerly known as the ShahyadTower, is a monument located at Azadi Square, in Tehran.
It is one of the symbols of Tehran, and marks the west entrance to the city.
Built in 1971 in commemoration of the 2,500th anniversary of the Persian Empire, this "gateway into Tehran" was named the Shahyad ("King's Memorial") in honor of the Shah, but was changed to Azadi ("Freedom") after the 1979 Revolution.
eight thousand white marble blocks of stone were used in it's construction.
The architect of this tower is "Hossein Amanat", he won a competition to design the building. He combined elements of the architecture of Sassanid and Achaemenid eras with the post-Islamic/Iranian architecture.
