TITLE: A light to every wandering bark

In 1847, a significant structure was erected at the Cape of storms, before then many vessels had met their fate along the rocky coast of Africa. This simple structure has been a beacon of light for travellers since 1849. The image portrays the majesty and importance of the monument.
