TITLE: Mexican pipeline explosion: Found her beloved
On Jan. 18, 2019, a gasoline pipeline exploded in Tlahuelilpan, in the Mexican state of Hidalgo. The blast killed at least 135 people and injured dozens more. The explosion was particularly deadly because large crowds of people had gathered at the scene to steal fuel. It took about four hours for responders to extinguish the fire. After the fire, the authorities let the family of the deads enter the scene to look for their beloved. And I as the photographer took photos to show a story where a mother found her beloved son dead in the explosion and cried in front of her son’s remains.
