TITLE: Endearment

Their curiosity brought them together and soon they joined to create a whole. They began to fill the missing pieces in the other’s soul, mending the damage the world had inflicted. They were brought ever closer by the sympathy they felt for one another and by the understanding and comfort that was supplied by the other’s healing presence. They combined their efforts to create a new and powerful entity, one that seemed as though it would survive the test of time. They used their strength to expand and break free of their past misfortunes and to conquer any that arose. They seemed as though they would only continue to excel until one day they were ripped apart without even the slightest warning. The world tore the new entity back into the two lonesome individuals that it had falsely attempted to heal. The gathered pieces of their souls were once again scattered and while they fought to collect the shards it was to no avail. The dark shadows of the world swallowed their memories and before long the two souls could no longer recognize one another.
