TITLE: Look at me
Performance of the Silesian Theater from Katowice / Poland. A performance with blind actors, received mainly by hearing. Blind actors depict a world on the stage that can not be seen.
Our life is concentrated on looking. We rely on sight, we trust him. It helps us to acquire knowledge, to orient ourselves in the environment and to see danger. However, it also has its negative aspects. A look can be evaluating, can objectify, build distance. And yet, the symbol of our world, we could make the all-seeing eye. Let's try to stay with your eyes closed for an hour, and we'll understand that everything looks different than we thought. We do not think about it every day, but we create a world in which vision is a form of privilege. Therefore, being blind means at the same time being invisible. Time to challenge the gaze and ask if we are sure that our eyes are not closed?
