TITLE: The Upside Down Faces
Inspired by the phrase "You're never more alive than when things get turned upside down" of the British journalist Malcolm Gladwell, Luís Lopes decides to develop a project of portraits that demonstrates the degree of the personal exigency of each athlete in a CrossFit world competition. With this project, Luís Lopes expects the viewer to appreciate the voluntary individual perseverance of a world of legs to the air. All The Upside Down
Faces were produced with natural light, without programming or staging with the actors portrayed. The goal was to capture the pure essence of the effort every auto athlete imposes himself to achieve his or her sporting goals. O
true feeling of effort, latent in a photograph for anyone who wants it to admire.
The Upside Down Faces photo project was done during the CrossFit Open.
