TITLE: OMNIPHONE

"In this" Omniphone "series, I want to show through photography the omnipresence of the mobile phone in our daily lives.

The idea came to me when I realized that he was grafted to me. Not in my ear as it would have been logical to image it, but in my hand, as a continuity of my anatomy.

Wanting to do simple tasks (cooking, serving drinks, makeup, dressing, drawing, etc.), I quickly realized that I was missing a hand.

Indeed, this hand was already taken by HIM, my cell phone. Its omnipresence then appeared to me as invasive.

I watched him more in the "screen" than my spouse in the eyes.

Knowing that the fight would be terrible I took the initiative to use this "guru" and to stage in my own way his pseudo utility as a useless assistant in my daily life.

Hence the name of my series "Omniphone", where the omnipresence of the phone. "




All photos were taken with the smartphone in question and the final shots staging with a Pentax K-30. There is no photomontage. The series is to discover in full on the site.

Ma bio :

J'ai trente ans, je vis en France, à Poitiers. Après des études en histoire de l'art et un BTS architecture intérieure je me suis éloignée de la voie artistique pour finalement m'y replonger par le biais de la photographie il y a quelques mois en parallèle de mon travail très éloigné de ce domaine.

J'ai testé la photo de paysage, les portraits, la macrophoto (les fleurs, les insectes..) puis j'ai trouvé cela très vite répétitif et je me suis vite ennuyée (attention, je ne critique absolument pas la photo "conventionnelle", c'est juste qu'il me manquait une touche artistique, un travail, quelque chose de plus fou). Figer le quotidien que je voyais tous les jours ne m'éclatait pas.

J'ai donc commencé à faire des expériences photographiques en me servant à la fois de mon téléphone et de mon appareil photo.
