TITLE: abandoned houses
This is unplanned architecture. A house was not built to fall apart. It often does, though, when its owner doesn´t need, maintain or love any more. Then the elements start to take over and the process of decay begins, slowly at first with only broken windows and doors, then usually the roof collapses and the rest is history. It goes faster in the desert where wind and sand shape the house the way they like, and a cold and wet climate eventually even lets a solid stone house fall apart. During my travels, I have seen examples of abandoned houses on every continent. Her are a few of them. I wished I could tell you their story and the story of their owners which will be up to your imagination.
