TITLE: Silence Beyond The Wall
We are increasingly building noise protection walls along our highways. Even though these walls have a good purpose, they cannot hide their nature as barriers to our sight, to our environment and to our horizon. Seen from the other (outer) side, these walls become landscape art installations replacing the noise disturbance with a massive visual intervention to the landscape. An intervention that raises questions about what walls do to us and our environment. And questions about human action fighting to tear down walls in one place and erecting kilometers of walls in other places thus creating new places of „Silence Beyond The Wall“
