World War II ended with the unconditional surrender of the Axis powers. On 8 May 1945, the Allies accepted Germany's surrender, about a week after Adolf Hitler had committed suicide. Allied Victory in Europe (VE Day) celebrates the end of the Second World War on May 8th. Over 70 years has passed from that time and in the anniversary a Georgian veteran with a bottle of Stalin wine was sitting next to a Russian old lady who lost her husband in the war under command of Stalin.
