Fine Dust PM2.5 / AIRPOCALYPSE : Moon soo Kim

In this series, I expressed in photos how fine dust change nature. Fine dust is serious enough to be coined new word " AIRPOCALYPSE ", a compound word using Air and APOCALYPSE meaning APOCALYPSE due to air pollution.

This work is in Seoun-dong, Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, Korea a town that has a weekend farm, vinyl greenhouse and orchard that can hold my favorite photographs. And it is my favorite neighborhood. Today unlike before, there is a warning of serious fine dust and dense fog coming in, but I wear a mask tightly and head to Seoun-dong.Subjects are faintly visible and I have a difficulty with breathing due to dense fog and fine dust.

As Edward Relph said, “ Being humanlike is living in a world full of meaningful places. Being humanlike means that someone has his own place and understands the place well.“

I will continue to carry out the series of photographs of climate change and environmental changes while I keep watching nature of darkness full of fine dust in "Seoun-dong" where is meaningful to me.

2014 Held Solo Exhibition "The Spring of the Earth". This exhibition made him more active on photographic
works up to now.
