TITLE: Invisible cities
"Cities are a set of many things" -writes Italo Calvino in Invisible cities- "they are a place of exchange, only, these exchanges are not just trade in goods, they also involve words, desires, and memories".
Cities are chaotic and conflicting as well as seductive and fascinating; we love and detest them, we want to leave but we still remain in them.
What then are the reasons that move us to live in cities?
Maybe we cling to them because they are a source of stimuli, of sensations and opportunities; they are also a display of signs and symbols, a succession of spaces and forms; nevertheless, in spite of walking them day by day, we pass through without really looking at them.
This series of photos pays tribute to this beautiful Calvino's book, as it reveals some everyday scenes that generally go unnoticed to us...
