TITLE: The moon is the target

A year ago, in the city of Barcelona, I had the chance to witness the most interesting and magic event in the Catalan culture, the construction of a human tower. The Castelleres (the people making the tower) do not do it often and always change location, so I was excited to take pictures and learn more about this topic.

A castell, which means castle, is considered a success only when it was built correctly. The last casteller (often child) has to climb to the top and raise his open hand, then climb back down on the opposite side of the tower.

It was incredible to attend to this human construction and feel all the passion, the pride, the courage and fun these people delivered.

Hi, I am Tom Olesen. I am 26 years old, was born in Geneva and I am half Danish half Spanish.

During the week, I am an accountant, very boring and structured.
And on weekends, I get to be myself, a fun and happy man who likes spending time with his wife and family.

Photography has always been a great passion, but I have started only 3 years ago, when living in Barcelona.
The city and its citizens inspired me so much, I wanted to capture every detail I could.

My great desire to do sports and travel combine really well with photography.
I am a very active person, when I am home too long I get crazy. I need to be outside.
I always dream to travel with my wife in places such as Thailand, Peru or Iceland to meet new friends and discover nature.

I would like to live as a photographer one day which is why I am eager to learn and obtain any feedbacks.
