TITLE: "Deconstructions"
The concept of Deconstructions is to highlight the female body, its forms and its shadows, its beauties and its taboos. The aim is to re-established a fundamental connection with the female body, in order to leave behind certain judgments and popular misconception. Representation of bodies is often connected with societal matters. Advertising, fashion, pornography have cramped it to an object of seduction and desire.
I wanted to bring a new perspective of the body, to make visual experiments, allow us to marvel at its contortions, its curves, its accidents and to leave space for curiosity and imagination. The picture can be turned and observed under every « perpectives ». It shows the body has much more to say than the stereotyped pictures we have of it. It was important for me to transcribe the proximity and the intimacy with the model during the shooting. Behind these bodies there are women, persons that have a lot to say and to express.
AUTHOR: Aymeric Dumoulin (France)
I have been a French movie director and director of photography for many years. I did not take lessons to become a photographer, but the images and the use of lights have always fascinated me, both in motion and fixed. That is why I have always enjoyed the process of creating a simple view or a whole world with cameras. In parallel to my work, I'm used to taking pictures of things and concepts of personal interest. People, landscapes, abstract, visions, experiences. I am a traveler also and I love to learn from people and culture wealth. For my pictures, I want to render the proximity I felt during the shooting and try to share this experience the best way I can.
