TITLE: Vaisselle

This series arose from the association of two different ideas: the underexposure and the repetition.
The first one involves the work of a purely technical variant of the photography: the underexposure. It raises questions such as the treatment of this constraint or the possibilities were offered by the underexposure.
The second one is to work on a more abstract idea: the repetition and the place of the change in the latter.
On this base, I decided to photograph the dishes, during his process of drying, in the basket of dishes. Indeed, what could be more repetitive and more harmless than household chores and more exactly, dishes?
These gestures of the everyday life, almost instinctive, follow each other and are alike, both by their commonness and by the used equipment: constantly the same rites, the same objects …
However, although the rites remain identical, the layout of objects in the basket is randomly made while keeping a certain systematics: plates in the place which is reserved for them, knives, forks, spoons and other small utensils in their basket and glasses in the basket. In the course of the various meals and of the late dishes, the forms change and evolve to invent and reinvent every time new creations.
The strength of the underexposure in this case handbook, is to raise an interest on an on the whole non-photogenic subject, varying between shadow plays and forms.
