TITLE: Sandscape
This series encompasses elements that I often capture in traditional landscape photos: light, depth, movement, and dimension. In "Sandscape", one might see a forest of trees reflecting in water, the severity of a volcano, a windswept field, a snow covered mountain, or the after-effects of a forest fire. However, the focus of my camera is downward. It is aimed at the landscapes that the ocean water has created in the sand as the tide moves in and later retreats. My inspiration and desire for this collection of photos is to draw the viewer into the scene, to ignite the imagination with abstract features that allow for individual interpretation and a vision of what they are viewing.
