TITLE: Did you say Stairs?
This series belongs to a work started a long time ago on stairs. How to look at and how to feel a stair.A stair can bring you to a world where you can loose your senses and your landmarks. It could swallow you or evoke the Icare's myth too.
I think that the way you consider a photography belongs to a very personnal cheminement. As each one has his own,i prefer to let everybody travelling like he wants in front of these photographs.
AUTHOR: thérèse descheemaeker (France)
Though i had a scientific and university formation, the photography interests me since i am 12 years old.
After 2 meetings with Jean Claude lemagny at the Bibliotheque nationale of France(BnF), Paris, in the nineties, which changed my professionnal road, i stopped to practise my job a few years ago to dedicate me only to the photography.
I consider myself like a craftwoman in argentic photography , making all the steps from taking photographs to the print on baryte paper in the dark room.
I exposed in France, Belgium, Usa, in collectiv and individual exhibitions.
My work is part of the permanent collections of the BnF, and of the museum of " la Piscine", Roubaix, France.
my photographs , coming from my outside world, only in black and white, bring you to a trip sometimes realistic sometimes abstract and tell my story.
I am presented by the gallery Quai 26,Lille,since 2010 and by the gallery Argentic ,Paris, since 2017.See their website.
