TITLE: Before it shaked, Gatlang Village, Nepal
Nepal, one of those countries that you cannot compare with any other. From me it has something magical that makes me want to go back again and again.
Traveling around Asia, I had the oportunity to be there for one month. I decided to spend 17 days hikking in the Himalayas, probably the best decision I could take.
That was an amazing experience full of culture, landscapes and personal challenge that I will never forget.
Unfortunately, three months after this experience I was informed about the sad new of an earthqueake shaking the country. This natural phenomenom afected, among other areas, Langtang Natural Park devastatig its villages and making it very difficult for the local residents to rebuild their lifes.
This piture shows the beauty of the villages and astonishing landscapes of this area before the earthquake that hopefully someday will be completely reconstructed.
AUTHOR: Marc Balletbo Huertas (Spain)
I'm Marc Balletbò Huertas, I was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1995.
Now I'm 22 years old and I'm actually trying to find the pathway to my dream life which means mixing my passions: photography, scuba diving and travel.
So I started exploring cameras when I was 15 years old and since now I've been taking as many pictures as I could.
I've been very lucky to travel with my family when I was younger. But when I was 18 I did my first solo travel.
Since that moment I can't stop thinking which one will be my next adventure.
I like saying adventure rather than simply travel, because I like to get off the beaten track and try to find the most real, amazing and beautiful experiences.
So I could say that I consider myself an adventurer and explorer.
Hitch-hicking across countries, walking for weeks in the Hymalayas or crossing countries on a motorbike are some of the crazy ideas that someday came to my mind and somehow I finally did ...
Oh! And of course, carrying that heavy camera with me ...
