TITLE: I am a dreamer

A metaphor of life, a metaphor of growth, watching the world with the eyes of a kid contemplating the nature contemplating the future. The desire of play whit dreams .

The kids contemplate the world with the eyes of fantasy imagining characters and identifying in them as they do with life, so a balloon turns into person and is ready to fly, as society wants to grow with the brain in box, express fears and dreams of growing and discovering the world through personal and creative experience.

This project is born during a walk by the sea with my son, some situation are magical, when I realize that I am in front of something special I try to block the moment , I see the special light, I breath ad I feel my heart.
I prefer to work with images that are very conceptual. In my photos I often like to portray subjects that are isolated in quiet contemplation with the surrounding landscape, or oppose the idea of freedom and the sense of peace that only the sea and nature can give to the human soul. I try to re-project the same emotions for the viewer.

Carmelita Iezzi is born in Italy where currently work and living, she is graduated in the Art School and has a bachelor in Graphic Design and Fine Art Photography at Poliarte in Ancona. The passion for photography began early using an analog camera with film and printing in the darkroom. After a degree she has worked as a freelance photographer and graphic designer.

She has developed her own style by focusing on landscape photography and portrait weaving with them dreamlike stories. Carmelita work captures silent or otherwise overlooked moments, pictorial poems. What began as self-expression has now developed into a unique language. The passion for painting and art history have focused attention on the use of natural light, preferring the strong contrasts that characterize equally her photos in black & white and color. Her particular style is surrealistic and dreamlike, she tries to convey a quiet stillness of emotion with a contemplation to the natural surroundings creating stories that combine nature and the human figure in a poetic and unique vision.

She has distinguished herself by achieved international recognitions and most of her works are been published in different Magazine and Book worldwide.

Her work has been exhibited in Rome, Marsille, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, New York, Paris and Cannes.
