TITLE: The Wreck
A vast and remote beach with a steel skeleton of a shipwreck protruding partially from the sands. I had the shipwreck to myself and sat there for hours as I watched the waves roll in and contemplated the travels and stories this ship had seen.
AUTHOR: Richard Vandegriend (Canada)
Richard Vandegriend is a self-taught Vancouver based photographer whose passion is landscape and fine-art photography. Believing that composition and timing are critical to a great image, compositional elements are not altered in post-processing. Instead care and patience are exercised to ensure the image was captured perfectly in camera. As landscape photography is so dependent on lighting and weather conditions, more often than not, great images are discovered rather than planned. One must give themselves the time and opportunity to discover these images.
