TITLE: The Kitchen
Home is the most significant – yet one that is most taken-for-granted-- place in our lives.
I captured a kitchen in a home built in early 60's in Surabaya, Indonesia, that I was not acquainted with for my project.
These pictures silently tell the story of its dwellers, their way of lives, their socio-economic status, and most importantly how they choose to make this house their own.
Lastly, this picture reminded me that it doesn’t take a luxury to create the comfort of a home. Just as the saying goes, “It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home”. A home sweet home.
