TITLE: When the sculptures change of century ...
The almost expressionist realism emanating from the busts of ancient Rome seems to have ignored the centuries they have passed through.
Whether they are mythological or derived from Roman society, they inspire respect, admiration and fascination.
But who really lies behind these austere portraits, petrified and immortalized in marble, bronze or stone?
This series endeavors to rediscover the carnal truth and the psychological dimension of the faces which, famous or unknown, served as models for the sculptors of antiquity.
In one detail : these busts, which have been observed so often by the public in museums of art and history, are freed from their historic shackles and decide to adopt progressively, according to their desires, a style of clothing that reflects fashion and the appearances of our 21st century.
A photographer immortalized these metamorphoses of matter frozen to living matter ....
