TITLE: The Uncontrollable Unconscious.
Researching the psychoanalytic works of Sigmund Freud through the uncanny and the unconscious this work is a demonstration of how the mind and eye can see beyond the focus of the subject. Inspired by the Surrealist Movement and artists such as Hans Bellmer and Man Ray who focus human figures and transmute them into a metamorphosis, with the backing of my research I hope to reconstruct this through black and white pinhole photography, constructing the intricate relationship we have with the human form with the delicate technique of traditional image-making.
