TITLE: “Industrial Apocalypse the Series”
I use my skills as an image-maker to document the world around me by fusing my love of Art, travel, cultures and exploration to become aware of the beauty all around the globe seen in deterioration, which comes in many forms. My goal is to use my camera to go down the rabbit hole in deep exploration of the overlooked and often forgotten. This helps me to engage the viewer in pass to present meditation, as well as examine the future of mankind’s ability to supersede impetuous desires, catastrophic failure, and or i.e., reboot as a society.
In today’s society many have become obsessed with the end of times. Several movies, books and television series depict life after an apocalyptic event. I am creating my vision of what it could look like, as I delve into many compositions that have rays of light within the shadows. The subjects accommodations comes from a place of changing times where cloths are as off set as the juxtaposition of pinhole-light in a darkroom. I have developed a series of photographs depicting various persons surviving what I call the “Industrial Apocalypse”.
The concept of the “Industrial Apocalypse” was birthed from my love of industrial elements . I often shoot historical industrial buildings and time-forgotten landmarks before they fall or are turned to rubble. In this series I have had an ongoing excitement about the opportunity to immerse myself in this art of being able to challenge what we take for granted as we seemly live as a whole like the hourglass will never run empty.
