TITLE: Easter Sunday, New York City
I encountered this circumstance on Easter Sunday in New York. Nothing in the image is posed or manipulated. Drawn initially by the disparity of the two women in the foreground, I then was taken aback by how solitary and seemingly isolated each figure in the frame appeared. A veil of separateness and human disconnect throughout the crowd added the other-worldly quality to the narrative.

I am a self taught image maker having begun long before digital imaging. I aim to share a quality of place and a spontaneity of my personal expression. I concentrate on the quirky exoticisms of Americana, the social rituals that endure in the most unexpected places, the crooked seams of our national psyche. Taken together, they suggest in all humility some surprising truths.
