TITLE: A Mother's Love

This photograph was taken during a trip to the Hwaseong Haeng-Gung Palace in South Korea. I spotted the mother and her infant dressed in traditional Korean robes and decided to capture the moment showcasing their bond full of love and affection. Truly, nothing comes close to the joy of the child while in the caring embrace of his mother.

Being both a nurse and a photographer allowed me to see humanity at its most enduring and native form. I have been capturing images since 2009, starting out with simple point-and-shoot cameras and black and white stills. I was photo contributor to the University of the Philippines Manila College of Nursing and I have published the cover of the Journal of Art and Aesthetics in Nursing and Health Sciences. As a freelance Filipino photographer currently based in the United Kingdom, I have been exposed to both the developed and developing worlds, seeing extremes of social conditions and human life.
