TITLE: Metamorphosis
The camera lens captures the reality, but also can change it. The main goal is to access the photography in different way. Just like painters use photography to transfer the true vision of reality I reverse that process and try to make paintings from photos. I whant to unite film and photography. I choose a single frame of film which lead to opening the mind and emotions to something that goes further than the visual contetn that is displayed. The portraits were created as a sort of reaction to what is seen in one frame, and the possibilites that realtiy can be experienced in a different way. This brings me to the link between real and the abstract, which is simplified and in a artistic consciousness more real than reality itself . The human faces and bodys are losing their physical characteristics of hard materials and become “liquid”. The aim was to isolate the individuals and show their anxiety, pain, rebellion and the right to be different and, as such, be accepted in society. And because of that I whant to create a new reality for that caracters in the move. Photos are a kind of surreal reality that blurs the line between the seen, and experienced, and transposed into the camera. Inspiration is sought in the subconscious, leading to the visual sens of dislocation and unreality. Photos are alive and in them you can feel movement, faces and figures are deformed, multiplied and sometimes blurred.
