TITLE: Fischland-Darß
The photo series “Fischland-Darß” was taken on the peninsula of the same name on the Baltic Sea coast between Rostock and Stralsund in Germany. The peninsula is around 45 kilometers long and consists largely of the “Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft” National Park. The coastline of this unique natural landscape is shaped and formed by wind and waves and is constantly being recreated by the forces of nature.
AUTHOR: Patrick Betthaus (Germany)
Patrick Betthaus (born Opierzynski) is a nationally and internationally awarded black-and-white photographer. Already in his youth he photographed with a small digital camera and went in search of the most diverse motifs. Meanwhile, his photographic focus is on black and white photography. Initially he photographed digitally, so Patrick Betthaus now works exclusively with an analog medium format equipment. The entire analog photography is here a longer process, a preoccupation with the motif and the matter.
Patrick Betthaus' photos have been awarded, for example, at The International Photography Awards™, the PX3 - Prix de la Photographie Paris or the Black & White Spider Awards.
