TITLE: Timeless Observers
I took this photo on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City in 2017. What I love about this shot is its timeless quality; due to the traditional outfits of the men and the iconic Manhattan cityscape, it could easily have been taken 50 years ago. The man on the right appears to be holding binoculars, yet he is actually taking a photo with a smartphone. This juxtaposition of past and present highlights the enduring charm of New York City while subtly nodding to the evolution of technology.
AUTHOR: Antek Jancelewicz (Poland)
I'm a self-taught photographer with architecture background from Poland. Over the past 10 years, I've been on a journey capturing architecture, landscapes, and abstract moments.
It all began with a cherished gift from my grandfather—a 35mm Yashica SLR—as I embarked on my architectural studies in Paris in 2014. What started as casual snapshots soon blossomed into a profound passion and a means to study architectural forms and compositions.
While most of my photography draws from the rigidity and geometry of architecture, it seeks to unveil the underlying fragility and organic nature of human experiences. Through these images, I hope to convey a sense of universal resonance—something that everybody can relate to.
