Francis O’Shaughnessy is an artist researcher in the field of visual arts : performance art and photography. Since 2002, he has presented his work in 26 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. He acquired a maturity and notoriety which allowed him to present his art work at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec, at the Nippon International Performance Art Festival (Japan), at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, at the Museum of Art Contemporary Sculpture in Oronsko (Poland), at the Boras Art Museum, at the Museum of World Culture (Sweden), at Casa Ibarguen (Guatemala) and at Art et Squats 2 & Palais de Tokyo (France). In 2023, he won the People’s Vote Award at Refocus Award (Film/Analogue category, the United States) and in 2021, he won (2nd place) at Luxembourg Art Prize (Luxembourg). Also, his photographs have been selected for the National Audacity Award (France, 2013). He has a bachelor’s degree from Laval University, a Master’s Degree from UQAC, a Ph.D. in Arts Studies and Practices from UQAM. He is actually a teacher in Visual Arts at Marie-Victorin College in Montréal (Canada).
