TITLE: Irish Beach
My wife and I took a walk on Irish Beach while vacationing on the Northern California coast. With the cloudy skies, I put a red filter on my monochrome camera to capture a moody scene with the white sea foam crawling up the sandy beach. I thought the sea stack in the background made a nice anchor point.
AUTHOR: David Mullin (United States)
Growing up, David was always the guy who had a camera. This was before everyone had a phone in their pocket like today. Most of his pictures growing up were snapshots. It wasn’t until 1999 that a couple of friends urged David to get a “real” camera and take photography seriously.
David's passion is to take pictures of the everyday, the mundane, and make it special. If there’s a crowd of photographers heading in one direction, you’ll find David running the other way.
David was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has lived just outside of Sacramento for more than twenty years where he practices and teaches photography.
