TITLE: Between Worlds
This is a series of long-exposure and multiple-exposure images of details of Buddha sculptures in Thailand. They are an attempt to capture a sense of the mystical experience of seeing these representations of the Buddha, to reach across perceptions of the ordinary through imagination.
AUTHOR: Loren Byers (Thailand)
I have lived in Thailand for the last five years, and currently live in Bangkok. Through photography, my lifetime conversation with light and shadow continues to develop, and, over the last three years, time and good fortune have afforded me the opportunity for it to grow into a full-time endeavor. Most of my photographs are of cultural settings, in both traditional and experimental styles. I use a variety of cameras both digital and film.
